Start of the week and it was a crazy one. I’m really looking forward to having next week roll around because it’s much more relaxed than this one.

Today’s Thankful Thing: Fancy iced tea in a plastic to-go cup with a straw. I have no idea why I enjoy this so much, but for some reason it makes me feel like a grown-up, but in a fun, sassy sort of “Hey.. look at me drinking my iced tea”.. kind of way.

Ok so I missed a post yesterday. I’m beating myself up about it, but it is what it is.

Today’s Thankful Thing: The 3-year old was pleasant and it was a really nice day with her and the two older kids.

Got up super early this morning. Was at the grocery store by 6:15 AM. As an informational tidbit - grocery store is not at ALL crowded at 6:15AM. Got cupcake making supplies, came home and made a batch of vanilla bean cupcakes with chocolate ganache and then dropped them off downtown for a bake sale. Then did laundry, cleaned the house and tidied up the front yard (pulled weeds, etc). Now.. I relax.

Today’s Thankful Thing: Scraping vanilla seeds from a vanilla bean. I love the sound and texture of slicing that bean open and dragging my knife along it.

Today was a weird day. Lots of meetings this morning, but it ended up being a pretty great day. I’m glad.

Today’s Thankful Thing: Having fun with co-workers and really liking my job.

Today was a day of creativity, and design. Overwhelming at first, but it’s coming out really well. It’s good to feel yourself come alive with creativity.

Today’s Thankful Thing: Inspiration.

So as if I didn’t have enough going on in my life these days, I decided it’d be a great idea to completely redo my area in Second Life. It’s no small task. I started it today.

Today’s Thankful Thing: That my bosses are both hysterically funny and open-minded. Love that.

Today’s Thankful Thing: Discovering new music… that I dig.

Monday. After Vacation. As much as Monday sucks, I gotta say.. I’m glad to be back in a routine.

Today’s Thankful Thing: Ummmm.. Cherry Pie.

Vacation week’s over and now I’m in ‘gear up’ mode to get back to work this week. I’ve gone through all my email and I’m ready to tackle the week. Bring it.

Today’s Thankful Thing: Watching my 3-year old be incredibly dramatic.
